PAHAD KE RANG

It's truly commendable that an organization called “Udhaym” Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) has taken the initiative to support upcoming artists in the Kumaun region of Uttarakhand through their project "Pahad Ke Rang" and I am being asked for contributing as an art mentor for its initiative. With my experience and expertise, I will undoubtedly play a significant role in guiding and nurturing the emerging artists in the Kumaun region of Uttarakhand.

As an art mentor, I will have the opportunity to share my artistic knowledge, techniques, and insights, inspiring the upcoming artists to explore their creative potential and find their unique artistic voices. My guidance will be invaluable in helping these artists navigate their artistic journeys and overcome challenges along the way. Mentorship is a crucial aspect of any creative community, as it fosters a supportive environment for artists to learn and grow. With my mentorship, the artists in "Pahad Ke Rang" will have the chance to gain valuable feedback, refine their skills, and gain confidence in their artistic abilities. By sharing my passion for art and providing guidance, I will be contributing to the growth and success of the artistic community in Uttarakhand.

I hope my dedication and mentorship will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on the artists I am guiding and empowering them to pursue their artistic dreams and make a positive impact on the art world.

We run an initiative called Pahad ke Rang where we support a group of bright young artists from kumaon. PKR has worked with around 40 artists, done 2 long art workshops and 3 exhibitions since Sep '2021. Going forward we are working with selected 20 artists for a year atleast in providing exposure & mentorship in the area of ART and a selling platform through HIMJOLI.

PANKAJ DHANGAR PAL

In the heartland of artistic exploration and cultural fusion resides a soul named Pankaj Dhangar Pal, a seeker of identity amidst the crossroads of tradition and modernity. Having traversed the corridors of academia and the depths of creative introspection, he emerged with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the storied halls of Kumaun University Almora. The year was 2021, a moment of inception that would ripple through the canvas of his life. As the sun continued its celestial journey, so did Pankaj's pursuit of artistic enlightenment, guiding him to the zenith of a Master's degree in Fine Arts, a path winding through the scenic landscapes of Almora, Uttarakhand. In this crucible of creativity, where mountains meet imagination, he ventured to unearth the very essence of existence itself.

At the heart of Pankaj's artistic voyage is a relentless exploration of the human tapestry's intricate weave, a quest to unravel the threads that tie together identity and culture. Within the labyrinthine corridors of his mind, he envisions himself not merely as an artist but as a researcher, delving into the very fabric of art's essence. His inspiration is a mosaic woven from the vibrant threads of his Indian heritage and the kaleidoscope of global experiences he has gathered along his journey.  It is upon his canvas that emotions find their sanctuary, and complexities take shape as strokes of oil and acrylic medium. Each composition is a symphony of symbolism, where mythology dances with beauty, and diverse scenes converge into harmonious arrangements. Through this visual vernacular, Pankaj captures the nuanced cadence of human emotions, from the subtle whispers of joy to the thunderous crescendos of sorrow. The act of viewing becomes an act of storytelling, and each painting becomes a vessel of narrative, etching tales onto the canvas's receptive skin. It is as if his artwork is a fusion of a magician's spell and a philosopher's insight, where colors speak truths and forms breathe life. His masterful manipulation of oil on canvas, with its intricate dance between thick impasto and delicate glazes, breathes life into two-dimensional realms, evoking depth and luminosity that mirrors the complexity of the human soul. But there is a deeper layer, a hidden dimension beneath the surface strokes and pigments. Pankaj Dhangar Pal's art is an invitation—an invitation to journey beyond the superficial, to dive into the emotional and psychological strata concealed beneath the painted surface. With every brushstroke, he beckons the viewer to become an explorer, delving into the uncharted territories of feeling and thought.

The teachings of renowned artist and Indian archaeologist Yashodhar Mathpal have seeped into his creative DNA, infusing his work with a sense of historical continuum. With the laurels of accomplishments like qualifying national-level exams NET JRF and KVS adorning his story, he now contributes his talent to the cultural tapestry of the land that nurtured his growth. In the ethereal quietude of Almora, his canvases continue to evolve, whispering tales of emotions and stories of the human journey, inviting all to partake in the profound spectacle of his art.
